Established in 1991, Polishing The Professional (PTP) is a full-service career center. Offering person-centered planning, we help job seekers identify careers that complement their strengths, skills, and interests. PTP serves individuals in different phases of their careers such as: graduates entering the workforce, displaced professionals re-entering the workforce, adult workers seeking advancement, seniors and veterans transitioning careers, or executives seeking leadership training.
Utilizing our 270-page curriculum, we deliver unmatched training in image consulting, personal branding, resume writing, interviewing, work ethics, networking, grooming, professional development and more. Additionally, we offer career planning & counseling, career assessments, job development, job placement, job coaching, job training, internships, ongoing employment support, wage reporting, career resource books, an exclusive job search engine, and other specialized supports.
According to the Gallup Poll, “Great Jobs. Great Lives.,” career centers offer immense value to those who take advantage of the services. The study shows that individuals using the career center will not only have better success at finding a job, they will also find more fulfilling careers.
PTP aims to reach every professional who wants to polish their skills and image to achieve success in the workforce. To accommodate professionals requiring greater assistance, we maintain master agreements and contracts with 21 Regional Centers throughout the State of California such as Social Security Administration’s Ticket to Work program, The Los Angeles County Community & Senior Services (WDACS) and the Department of Rehabilitation.
