Comparing TTW and Regional Center Services

Polishing the Professional offers several different services to help our clients land gainful employment. Two of these services are at no cost to you. These are our Regional Center and Ticket to Work services.

Regional Center

Regional center clients receive work readiness training, job placement support, and long-term support through vocational services.

Work readiness training consists of our pre-employment training program. We make sure our regional center clients know how to answer interview questions and conduct themselves in an interview. If they need help with communicating, we go to the interviews with them. This is a type of accommodation employers should allow for applicants who require assistance.

Once you have gained a position, we offer job coaching or vocational services where we go to work with you and help you learn your job requirements and execute them efficiently until you no longer need our assistance.

Ticket to Work

Ticket to work recipients receive employment services such as soft skill development, resume edits, and job leads. We provide employment counseling based on your specific concerns and needs, such as following up on applications you have submitted and responding to interview questions.

Job Club

Both programs offer our clients access to attending our monthly job clubs. The job clubs are designed to assist you in learning soft skills. Examples of soft skills are interviewing, conflict and stress management, professional ethics and attitudes, and dressing for success. With the knowledge acquired during these meetings, our clients have excelled in the work field.
