Grooming Assistant
Job Description
• When not grooming, you’ll bathe/brush, blow-dry, and/or apply conditioner on
dogs and cats that require haircuts
• Complete daily grooming payroll and commission paperwork
• Daily complete and file reminder cards for each pet groomed
• Assist with generating and developing the grooming business by utilizing
periods of time when not grooming pets to write and send customer reminder cards
• Greet sales floor customers and promote grooming services and/or hand out
discount flyers
• Ensure Grooming Salon cleanliness and safety meets PETCO standards by
sweeping, mopping, etc. on a regular basis
• Assist in booking grooming appointments and keeping follow-up card file active
and up-to-date
• Special projects as assigned
