Position Overview:
In order for A&P Mechanics to provide the highest quality maintenance in a timely manner, they need tools and equipment available to them in good repair, on demand.
The Tool Crib Attendant is responsible for:
· Tracking the whereabouts of tooling.
· Storing tooling in a neat and orderly manner.
· Maintaining and repairing equipment and tooling, as
needed.
· Preparing requisitions for new or replacement
tooling.
· Ensuring that an appropriate level of all required
items are available.
Job Duties:
* Issues tools and/or supplies to shop personnel.
* Establishes and maintains a tracking system.
* Sets up a daily inspection, and services/ maintains
equipment.
* Repairs tools (i.e. drop lights, ladders, air hoses,
jacks, etc…).
* Prepares tools for shipment to outside repair and
calibration vendors, maintaining records of tooling
going out for repair.
* Accomplishes or coordinates all tool calibrations as
required by Quality Assurance.
* Prepares and follows up on maintenance requests for
heavy maintenance equipment (i.e. Hobarts, tugs,
mules, etc.)
* Maintains and appropriate level of stock to supply
hangar operations departments with all the tooling
they need to accomplish maintenance on customer
aircraft and engines.
* Coordinates all necessary actions to incorporate new
tooling into the hangar operations departments.
Prepares requisitions for tools and/or supplies.
* Inventories all stock receipts against receiving reports
and tool room.
* Stores all incoming supplies in a neat and orderly
fashion.
Qualifications:
* Knowledge of Hand Tools and basic shop equipment
* Basic computer skills with MicroSoft Word & Excel.
* Able to read, write and understand English.
* Able to take direction from management personnel.
* Report to work as scheduled and be punctual.
* Willing and capable of performing other minor duties
as assigned.
* Able to lift at least 50 lbs. for short term movements.
* Must be able to pass Background Check and
Pre-Employment Drug Screening.
