Duties:
Act as a Payroll functional user supporting the execution of system upgrades, system patches and new release test plans. Assist Financial Systems department with analyzing and debugging of test data prior to moving to SAP production environment. Create documentation of system test results. Assist Financial Systems with troubleshooting and resolving system problems encountered by Payroll users while working under pressure to meet aggressive deadlines.
Maintain on-going changes and updates to payroll processing procedures. Assist payroll management with effective internal controls and business continuity plans for all payroll procedures.
Partner with members of organization’s functional users to identify opportunities to leverage resources. Build relationships, consult and negotiate effectively in order to encourage collaboration.
Key Accountabilities
· Provide support for weekly payroll process of approximately 4,300 employees.
· Assist payroll users with SAP functional questions and provide education to new users.
· Execute test plans for SAP HR Payroll upgrades, fiscal and calendar processes.
· Document test results.
· Maintain payroll processing documentation and procedures.
· Provide Ad Hoc reporting for requested payroll information/reports
· Act as the organization’s key knowledge steward for the corporation’s document management system.
· Oversee the maintenance of the Payroll Website for accurate content.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in business or accounting required, masters degree preferred. Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation preferred. Minimum 10 years relevant experience required. Experience as a Payroll Professional preferred. Required to have SAP experience as a strong functional user, with strong knowledge of SAP PHR/Payroll processing procedures. Intermediate Microsoft Office Skills, especially Excel required. Must have expert knowledge with best practices of business processes within Payroll. Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills required. Excellent written and oral communication skills required. Must have the ability to work autonomously as required while contributing efficiently to targeted goals. Demonstrated ability to multi-task effectively. Must have demonstrated effective project management skills to include ability to make good decisions based on data analysis, wisdom and experience, ability to accurately scope out length and difficulty of assigned tasks and to develop appropriate schedules and objectives/goals to meet desired timelines.
